HELPING YOU FIND BALANCE & FIND CALM
Personalized Anxiety Therapy for Every Neurotype
Many people suffer from anxiety. Anxiety is best described as a persistent fear or worry that can interfere with daily living. Often, individuals can experience anxiety around specific stressful events. The issue comes when this feeling of anxiety is so acute, or persistent, that it interferes with one’s ability to enjoy their life.
Anxiety can manifest at any time. It may surface years after a particular event, causing fear and alarm in an affected person. Because anxiety can take on so many forms, we prefer to gather information early on about the nature of one’s anxiety before making recommendations and offering different therapeutic approaches.

COMBINATION OF ANXIETY AND NEURODIVERGENCY
The LINK BETWEEN ANXIETY
AND NEURODIVERGENCY
Many neurodivergent individuals can present with various hypersensitivities that can promote feelings of anxiety. Additionally, some neurodivergent individuals may also present with social anxiety due to the need for social masking. These factors can add complications when understanding the nature of one’s anxiety, leading to some autistic and ADHD clients to feel frustrated with traditional therapeutic approaches.
Because of this, we don’t just “target” anxiety when using our therapeutic approach. Instead, we use a more holistic approach to therapy that incorporates one’s neurodivergence and sensory needs.

UNDERSTANDING HYPERSENSITIVITIES
Hypersensitivities can affect a variety of areas
Although at times, anxiety can manifest from seemingly “irrational” places, sometimes it is a response to one’s hypersensitivities. For neurodivergent individuals especially, sometimes our nervous system can detect things at a higher level than average. Because of this, some sights, sounds, smells, feelings or textures might trigger our stress and anxiety response.
